Miss Criss is the reason I give. Every day she would open her heart to every student who walked through her office door. She imparted the beauty of manners, taught lessons of grace under pressure, shared sage words of wisdom and encouragement, and has been the ever-present example of love and kindness. For the almost 20 years that I have known her, and the more than 40 years she worked at the law school, she has always sung the praises of, and has truly been the heart of, John Marshall.
In December, Miss Criss said goodbye to John Marshall as she retired. We speak often, and she recently mentioned her scholarship and her hope that it would continue to grow in her absence from the law school. I urge you to honor her legacy of love for John Marshall by making your own gift today.
John Marshall has produced thousands of fantastic lawyers in many diverse fields. If you are reading this, you are probably one of those lawyers. I urge you to think about the career John Marshall gave to you in education, and I hope you will join me in saying thanks, by making your own gift today.
