Katherine Aschieris has joined The John Marshall Law School Foundation as senior advancement officer.
Aschieris’ major objectives are funding sources for the construction of the Student Commons and new entrance on State Street; funding of the Justice Arthur Goldberg Memorial Courtroom; and continued support for student programs and increases in annual giving.
Once a land use and commercial litigation attorney, Aschieris got involved in fundraising when her daughter enrolled at University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. Aschieris was the assistant dean of external relations at the univesity’s School of Engineering and Computer Science. She later served as director of Development at the University of Southern California’s School of Engineering where her two sons earned degrees.
“It’s exciting to help fund the mission of education,” Aschieris said. She is happy to continue working in higher education and to be back working with people in the legal field.
Aschieris received a JD at University of California at Hastings and a bachelor’s degree in political science at California State University at Long Beach.
