My reason for giving is simple: John Marshall gave me everything I needed to be a great lawyer.
I was able to quickly adapt to the legal world, in part, because professors like Rogelio Lasso and Mark Wojcik provided a real-world context for their course lectures. I started giving back after graduation to make sure that undergraduate students considering law school and incoming students know that John Marshall teaches the skills to be successful. I give so that current students know, while the weekly readings and assignments are tortuous at best, it’s all for a great reason. And I give because all alumni should be proud of their education and continue supporting current students who are going through the same process we went through.
I give because John Marshall gave to me.
