John Marshall Professor Steven D. Schwinn’sConstitutional Law Prof Blog” was named to the ABA Journal magazine’s Blawg 100 list for 2016. Schwinn and CUNY School of Law Professor Ruthann Robson created the blog in 2008.

The “Constitutional Law Prof Blog”, which provides an accessible overview of constitutional law issues at the state, federal and international levels, was honored by the ABA Journal for its “same-day coverage and analysis of the most newsworthy constitutional law cases at the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals and state supreme court levels.”

The blog, intended to be a public education project, reaches a wide audience including judges, law professors, attorneys, students, teachers and the general public, said Schwinn. He and Robson remain the blog’s sole contributors and editors.

“It is a tremendous honor to be named to the ABA Journal’s top 100 list considering the number of legal blogs out there,” said Schwinn.

Schwinn joined the faculty of John Marshall in 2007 and teaches Constitutional Law and Human Rights. In 2015 he was the Edward T. and Noble W. Lee Chair in Constitutional Law. He also serves as the director of John Marshall’s Community Legal Clinics and is the co-director of its International Human Rights Clinic.
