“You have that kind of down-to-earth street smarts in combination with the intellectual part of it because you’ve seen both sides,” said his law partner, Rick Del Giudice. “And Gene was really the definition of that.”
Mr. Gozdecki, 63, died of complications from lung cancer Sunday, March 4, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, said his partner, Ed Bucher. He lived in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood.
