The John Marshall Law School Louis L. Biro Law Library has reorganized its Academic Technology Department (ATD), welcoming three new staff members.
The department is responsible for managing classroom media needs, digital media production and the creation of online graduate degree courses. ATD now includes the distance education program and media services. Information Technology Services (ITS) will continue to provide all other technology support, which includes phones, network and computers in classrooms.
Jessica de Perio Wittman, assistant director of ATD, continues to head the department.
Julie Finch, academic media coordinator, has been at John Marshall since 2000 as a media technician for the former Media Services Department. She currently provides media support for the distance education program.
Tony Jeswald, instructional technology coordinator, works closely with faculty who are creating courses and teaching in the school’s online degree programs.
Chris Bevard, Class Sites coordinator, has been at John Marshall since 2008 and administers Class Sites/Moodle platform as well as training and assisting faculty and staff with the use of Class Sites and other education technology tools.
James Loesch, digital media coordinator, was a part-time staff member in the Media Services Department before moving to this full-time position in December 2011. Loesch will primarily be responsible for all audio/visual recordings, in and out of the classroom. He received a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington and is finishing a bachelor’s degree in visual communications and photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Emily Porter, classroom technology coordinator, manages and schedules the media technology in classrooms and will teach faculty and staff how to best use the equipment. She will be working the evening and Saturday support hours. She received a master’s degree in library science from Dominican University and a master’s degree in education from National Louis University.
Jesse Nelson, part-time media assistant, focuses on classroom technology support as well as assisting with audio/visual editing. He received a bachelor’s degree in animation from Huntington University.
