Cupcakes and Games Will Help Support CASA

The annual 1L Student Bar Association charity event will be “Cupcakes for CASA” on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 5:30 to 8:30pm in the Sargis-Miner Student Lounge.

All donations will support CASA of Cook County. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children works to train people to stand up for abused and neglected children in the county’s overwhelmed and extremely underfunded foster care system. Support for CASA of Cook County Advocates can help these children from falling through the cracks and never being given an opportunity to find a place to call home.

Tickets are $10 pre-sale and $15 at the door. Tickets will be available for sale in the Plymouth Court lobby. Tickets provide food, two drinks (additional drink tickets available for purchase).  The evening’s program includes a trivia contest, “split the pot” games, a raffle with many exciting items, a silent auction, and of course, cupcakes!

Students are encouraged to bring a dessert of their choice (preferably cupcakes). Attendees will be asked to vote for their favorite dessert.

The 1L section with the highest attendance wins a pizza party.
