Ian Bucciarelli has joined The John Marshall Law School as an assistant director for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.
Bucciarelli is working with ADR teams and teaching mediation and negotiation. He also will be the liaison to bring employers and government agencies together with students to help them hone their ADR skills.
After graduating from The John Marshall Law School, where he was a negotiation team standout, Bucciarelli volunteered to coach negotiation and mediation teams for John Marshall. The teams have been successful at both regional and national American Bar Association (ABA) competitions. Bucciarelli hopes to improve the law school’s reputation as a leader within the ADR field.
He is a certified mediator who recently assisted in teaching mediation in John Marshall’s joint program with the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
Bucciarelli is an attorney for the International Institute for Animal Law, and serves on the board for the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Midtown Educational Foundation.
He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and human resource management from Loyola University-Chicago.
