The Student Bar Association has opened ticket sales for its annual Barrister’s Ball on April 19, 2013. The spring formal party this year will begin at 8 p.m. at the Soldier Field First Floor Stadium Club.
Party attire is evening gowns or cocktails dresses for women, and tuxedos or suits for men.
“If you have ever been to this event, you know that it’s a party that should not be missed!” said LaDiedre Turner, chair of the ball. “This is one of your last chances to let your hair down before final exams. 3Ls, come out and celebrate surviving three years of law school. 2Ls, come out and celebrate finishing the busiest year of law school. 1Ls come out and celebrate making it through your first year as a law student.”
The first 100 tickets sold out in 30 minutes! The remaining tickets will be on sale from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday in the Plymouth Court lobby or until all tickets are sold. You must present your student ID. Tickets are $70 per person, or $130 for a pair. You may pay by cash, credit or debit card. For credit and debit cards a 2.75% surcharge will be added to your payment. A ticket to Barrister’s includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and great music.
In the event that all tickets are sold, students will be added to a waiting list for possible additional sales.
