John Marshall honored the Alvin H. Baum Family Fund and fund President Joel Friedman (’75) on December 2 for their generous support of the law school. Awarding its first named scholarship in 2007, the Baum Family Fund began offering internships in 2012 to help John Marshall students prepare for careers in public interest law. As of December 2016, 46 John Marshall students have benefited from the internships, a number of whom have interned multiple times, and six students have received scholarships.
A plaque on John Marshall’s donor honor wall was dedicated to the Baum Family Fund and Friedman at the reception.
