First-year student Chelsea Button has published the article, “The Illinois Supreme Court denies property rights to an unmarried same-sex couple who could not get married – Blumenthal v. Brewer, 2016 IL 1187181” in the Illinois State Bar Association’s Section on Human Rights Law newsletter. Button was the only student to be published in the issue. Earlier this year, Button also helped formally launch the John Marshall Chapter of Scribes — The American Society of Legal Writers.
