He is serving as a co-consultant to the American Antitrust Institute on its amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Vernon Hugh Bowman v. Monsanto Co. The Indiana farmer was sued by Monsanto for patent infringement. This case raises important issues involving the post-sale rights of patent owners and could affect the way agricultural and biotechnology industries operate.
Lim was invited to consult on the brief, in part because of his American Bar Association-published article “Rebooting the Bean,” which discusses the case. The article also has been featured in the ‘Top Ten Downloads’ of a number of journal categories on the Social Science Research Network.

Following the Nov. 6 election, he gave comment for the Associated Press on state marijuana initiatives and questions on federalism.
He was interviewed by Law360 on how the presidential election will affect the U.S. Supreme Court over the next four years, and gave a second interview to Law360 addressing the federal appeals court decision in the Rumsfeld case that came down the week of Nov. 12 in the Seventh Circuit. Two American citizens attempted to sue former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld over allegations that they were tortured by the U.S. military in Iraq.

She was a presenter at the Autumn School of Legal Writing, Masaryk University Faculty of Law, Brno, Czech Republic in October 2012. She gave a class for students on the fundamentals of negotiating and contract drafting.
She presented a discussion on negotiating contracts for the “A Day of American Law” program at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic in October 2012.
