Pro Bono Clinic Hosts National Activist Lawyer Bryan Stevenson

The Pro Bono Program & Clinic hosted a luncheon with Bryan Stevenson on Oct. 29, 2014.  Stevenson is the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a private, nonprofit organization headquartered in Montgomery, Ala., and is a professor at New York University School of Law. He has gained national acclaim for his work challenging bias against the poor and minorities in the criminal justice system. Stevenson recently was tapped by the White House to join a task force assessing policing practices throughout the U.S. in the wake of widespread police protests. He is scheduled to give the commencement address to John Marshall’s January 2015 graduates.
