Two scholarships are available for degree candidates entering the LLM or MS programs in fall 2011: The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Education Foundation Scholarship and the Stanley Marion Fellowship. Each scholarship is an award of $5,000. Recipients of these scholarships will also be offered research assistance positions.
In order to be eligible, you must be admitted to either the LLM in Real Estate Law program or the MS in Real Estate program in the fall 2011 semester. To be considered for either scholarship, you must have applied to one of the degree programs. Only students who complete the applicable Center program in two academic years will be eligible. The scholarship will be distributed as a tuition credit in the final semester of study to ensure qualification for the scholarship. While we anticipate awarding the scholarships, the Center reserves the right not to award either or both of the scholarships at its discretion.
Applications are due no later than Friday, July 15, 2011. In order to apply, you must submit a letter expressing your interest and a writing sample. There is no formal application.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Heather Harper, associate director of the Center for Real Estate Law, at 312.386.2834 or hharper@jmls.edu.
