In New York, an organized graffiti art program known as 5Pointz, drew national attention for its beautiful designs.  Now it is drawing attention for those who want to save the art pieces from destruction when the owner demolishes the vacant buildings. William McGrath, associate director of the Center for Intellectual Property, Information and Privacy Law, examines whether artists can claim their works should be saved under copyright protection using the Visual Artists Rights Act (VARA).
