Jaime Newsom is the new assistant director in the Office of Admission. She will be helping at recruitment fairs, counseling perspective and incoming students, assisting at open house events, and working with the Student Ambassadors Program.
Newsom comes to the position with recruitment and counseling experience. She last worked at Northwestern University School of Law in the Admissions Office. She also did work at Robert Morris University’s Admissions Office.
A native of Memphis, Newsom received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C., where she worked with the admission staff after graduating. Newsom then enrolled in law school and received a JD from St. Louis University School of Law. She was a prosecutor in Kankakee County for three years before enrolling in the master’s in management degree in high education program at Robert Morris. She expects to complete the degree in July.
