Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to talk with health care providers, wellness experts and merchants on Friday, Sept. 19, 2013, when the Human Resources Department presents a health fair for all faculty and staff members.
Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. representatives will be offering their tips and information in Room 1200. Throughout the event, staff will have a chance to win prizes and food give-aways.
Rachel Innis, fringe benefits manager, is coordinating the free health fair. Employees can come when their schedules permit.
Guests at the health fair will be: Chiro One Wellness Centers offering postural evaluations; Urban Botanicals with spa/yoga and medicinal relaxation offers; Illinois College of Optometry offering free eye screenings; America’s Best offering discounted eye exam and eye wear offers; Hearing Health Center offering hearing screenings.
Also, XSport Fitness offering discounted membership offers, BMI testing, fitness tips and yoga demonstrations; Comprehensive Care will give free chair massages; Beauti Control will have a mobile spa with skincare and image services, including free hand and facial treatments.
Information on mental health care will also be available. Blood pressure checks will be done by staff from Walgreen’s, and Costco will be offering free snacks.
A TIAA-CREF representative will be answering questions about financial management strategies as well as a representative from Allied Benefits Systems, Inc. to answer your medical/dental plan questions.
