Jason Helland’s office has a bulletin board with clippings of Herald-News articles about animal cruelty cases and a large framed sketch of some puppies hangs next to the picture of a toothless Bobby Hull near his desk.
“I always had dogs growing up. I loved the collies we had,” the Grundy County State’s Attorney said. “We don’t have any dogs right now, but as my eight-month-old daughter gets older I’m sure we will.”
