Aug. 18 – Greater Milwaukee Today
Richard “Dick” Schouten of Waukesha died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the age of 59. Dick was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 30, 1952, son of Frank and Jane Schouten.
He received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dick continued his education and received his juris doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Dick practiced law in both Chicago and Waukesha. He was an incredible history buff who collected World War II, Korean War and early American history memorabilia. As a child, he was active in scouting, achieving the rank of Eagle. Dick enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, reading history books and spending time with his many friends and dogs.
