Joseph Kearney, a 2012 graduate of The John Marshall Law School, has joined the Career Services Office staff as an associate director.
He is working with recent and experienced John Marshall alumni to assist with near and longer-term career planning. He additionally performs outreach to private and public sector legal employers, and helps coordinate the activities of the Alumni Job Advisory Board with Associate Dean for Professionalism and Career Strategy Margaret “Peg” O’Mara Frossard.
Before joining the Career Services Office, Kearney served as a staff attorney at the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, where he drafted dispositive orders for the court’s 24 justices. He also has additional experience working with state court judges and legal practitioners, and served for five years as program manager for an academic institution that studied urban planning issues.
Kearney received a BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MS in Public Services from DePaul University.
