“Everyone figures we’re going to have to have a central bank,” said Professor Ann Lousin “the only issue is, what kind of congressional oversight will there be and what kind of public oversight will there be. I get very sensitive about this because the key with any national bank is that it has to be independent of whoever comes in and out of power every so many years.”
