In a meeting with reporters Tuesday, State’s Attorney Joe McMahon said the ideal situation would have been no arrests because no one was driving drunk. Outside of that, he’s satisfied the effort discouraged some drunken drivers and stopped others.
“I am pleased with the outcome,” he said. “One of the goals was to ensure the weekend was safe for families to enjoy the weekend and, from that perspective, I think it was a success.”
