Congratulations to 2L Faith Harris, who will spend her summer in Hollywood, California, working for Viacom Media. Harris, who is pursuing entertainment law at John Marshall, was awarded a Summer 2018 Business & Legal Affairs Internship with the BET, MTV, and VH1 Networks, where she will assist in-house counsel with reviewing and drafting production agreements, reviewing episodic cuts for legal concerns and corporate standards, and researching entertainment and intellectual property rights, among other responsibilities.
Harris received assistance from John Marshall’s Student Professional Development Fund to attend and volunteer at the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association’s 37th Annual Conference in Montego Bay, Jamaica in October 2017. Harris learned of the Viacom internship through BESLA and applied. After being selected from a field of applicants and two subsequent rounds of interviews, she was invited to Hollywood.
We wish you all the best, Ms. Harris! We can’t wait to hear how you change lives.
