Forbes.com interviewed IP Director Daryl Lim about how the U.S. Supreme Court may rule in a case on the doctrine of patent exhaustion. The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit had created patent-specific rules for both domestic and foreign sales. Lim predicts the justices will reverse the appellate court when it comes to domestic sales, but thinks that the result is less clear for international sales.
